Congratulations to Laiken & Jonathan

The girls and I were honored to celebrate in the sealing of my beautiful niece Laiken and Jonathan Forsey on Friday March 30..
They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, it was a beautiful sunny day.
The smiles on their faces were priceless as they were joined as one.
They picked brown and cream for their wedding colors and served hot chocolate and sweet rolls for their refreshments.

KaDee has SHINGLES!!

KaDee broke out in shingles, the Dr said its from stress.
Between school, work, and yes probably her mom (lol) she broke out.
The Dr.put her on a steroid and a anti-viral medication he said she can still go to school but no work for 10 days (she works at classic skating)
because she cant be around small kids.
She said the shingles are really itchy and just recently have started being painful.
Hopefully she can get over them quickly and also quit stressing!! (she's laughing beside me saying thats the funniest thing she's heard all day).

Girls Night in SLC

The girls and I went to Salt Lake to a concert for Saint Patrick Day.
The concert was Boyce Avenue, Secondhand Serenade & the After Party.
We went to the Gateway to have lunch at Z'tejas, which is always one of our favorites!
The bands were really good the girls got to meet the band members after their concerts.
we had a really fun night on the town.

Emily's Night

Valya asked if the girls & I could attend a school night activity with Emily since JJ was working out of town & she had to work.
We were so excited to go, not knowing what to expect.. we got the unexpected!
The night was a fiesta night where all the kids spoke Spanish, they had to go to different booths ask questions in Spanish and receive their answer back in Spanish.
I was amazed of how many kids were speaking (and understanding) Spanish!
Emily is fluent in Russian, Ukraine, Spanish & English!!
The kids did a Spanish dance & we got to sample Spanish food, we had a great night .
I'm so glad she invited us to go!!

Nylons are SO over-rated!!

Anybody who knows me knows how much I hate wearing nylons!!
Let me start with a (not so funny at the time) story a few years back I bought some black nylons.
I don't wear them often (nylons in general, I despise them) but this Sunday I did, we were in Sacrament Meeting and Matt was sitting next to me and he started rubbing my leg, no big deal as a matter of fact in my head I was thinking about how sweet he was showing me such affection.
I just happened to look down and my nylons were shredded!! Yep his hands were SO dry they were shredding my nylons!! I gave him the look of OH MY GOSH WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!! Sheepishly he said "sorry".
My mother was telling me the other night about how she loves "thigh highs" and she thought I should try those, maybe I'd like them better.
I was at Kohl's dept. store and a crazy thought came to mind and I purchased the $10 pair.
I wore them to church the next morning (we have Sacrament Meeting first) then I have my Nursery calling after.
I lasted 5 minutes in Nursery (FIVE stinkin minutes) and this is the outcome of my nylon experience.
Nylons they are SO over-rated!!
