I ate an ant....

So last night KaDee & I went out to babysit Emily, Bryce & Adam while Stephanie went to the Temple with her Single Adult Ward.
KaDee got there around 4pm and I came after she put the kids to bed, it was around 8:30ish and Bryce went into the bathroom (the other kids were already sleeping) I went up to check on him and he was brushing his teeth for the 2nd time.
I took him back to his bed and he wanted me to tell him a 'fake story, the kind that Grandma tell's him'...
So I was telling him a story, then I told him to tell me a story.
he told me about his trip to the 'Pumpkin Patch that he went on with his school class.
He was so cute, he kept saying 'guess what??' then and 'guess what??' he had to tell me ALL the details about picking his own pumpkin.
Then out of the blue..... Bryce: I ate a bug. Me: what?? you ate a bug?? when?? Bryce: Yeah I ate an ant, it kept crawling outa my mouth and I had to keep putting him back in. Me: Why did you eat an ant? Bryce: I just wanted to try. Me: BRYCE WE DON'T EAT ANTS OR BUGS!! Bryce: I ate chicken poop too..
 Me: BRYCE WE DON'T EAT BUGS AND WE ESPECIALLY DON'T EAT CHICKEN POOP!!
I've never had a boy before is this normal??

Expanding My Horizons....

This last week I drove to price (by myself) to meet Matt for the weekend.
He's been working down there since there isn't any work around here.
The girls & I are SO sad that he has to work away from home, it's just not the same when someone is missing from our family circle. :0(
Anyways....So I drove by myself and I did so good!! (I didn't get lost -Matt gave me awesome directions).
My old boss used to tease me because I don't drive past Bountiful!! lol
 He always told me that I needed to broaden my horizons!! (he'd by SO proud of me)
When we met up, we went to Coldstone for ice cream then he told me about another job in Wyoming that he just got a call from & will start on Monday.
The company name is Elkhorn Construction. I hope he'll be a lot happier.
This meant that he got to come home for the weekend, but we decided to make the most of our alone time.
We asked the lady at Coldstone where around there would be a pretty drive to see the beautiful leaves, she said the drive through Indian Canyon is just so pretty this time of year.
So off we go, I had to follow Matt (the downside of meeting up) I would just like to say that Indian canyon was not a very pretty drive at all, if you like the desert, dirt, and dust then that's the drive for you.
We noticed a sign that said Duchesne ahead and decided we'd go visit Grandpa Lindsay and surprise him with a visit.
We loved our visit, he was so excited to see us, we got the biggest hugs!!
 He told us it was his & grandma's 72nd wedding anniversary!! Wow that's a long time, they sure were great examples of true love, he sure does miss her (I do too).
I was excited to see a lot of my cousins there and my Aunt Addie, who knew we'd get to see each other?
 I loved it!! It was such a fun visit, I'm so glad we went.
Later that evening Matt and I left for Park City where we stayed at The Yarrow, we had a wonderful time.
Thanks to Heidi and Silvio for suggesting where to eat!! What a great weekend!!
On our way home we took a detour through Trappers Loop, the tree's are always so pretty this time of year!

Uncle Charles Eugene Bousquet (known by his family as Uncle Chuck)

Charles Eugene "Chuck" Bousquet, 80. of Idaho Falls & Ammon, passed away October 1, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center due to complications of COPD.
He was born February 4, 1930, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Sylvio A. Bousquet and Amy Lee Simpson, the oldest of four boys. He attended schools in the Springfield area and graduated from Cathedral High School.
Chuck joined the United States Navy in 1947. He proudly served his country for 30 years. He lived and served at the end of WWII and witnessed the signing of the Peace treaty between the United States and Japan. He served two tours during the Korean war and two tours in Vietnam. A lot of his tours of duty were abroad many ships, destroyers, sub tenders, and cruisers. The USS Boston, a guided missile cruiser, was his favorite.
On March 8, 1952, he married Patricia Wright in Yuma, Arizona, who at the time was also in the Navy. Together they raised three children. Patricia passed away on January 30, 2003, after almost 51 years of marriage.
Chuck was a member of the Catholic faith. He was involved with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Order of the Arrow, the FRA, and the California Law Enforcement Warrant Officers Association. He was also a member of the Navy Memorial. He enjoyed reading, traveling, and Native American Studies.
Chuck is survived by his daughters Theresa M. (Bryan Walker) Bousquet-Walker of Ammon, and Elizabeth S. (Vaughn Schmidt) Bousquet of Wheatland, CA, his five grandchildren: Jessica M. Bousquet of CA, Nicholas A. Varsco of CA, Joshua M. Walker of ID, Jessica R. Walker of NE, and Lanissa E. Walker of ID, and four Great Grandchildren: Destiny P. Bousquet of CA, Chaz Cruze of NE, Kellen Cruze of NE, and Rylee Cruze of NE.

Where ever Charles and Patricia lived, they were always around and active with children, so Chuck is survived by many, many, many unofficial adopted children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Patricia, three brothers: Robert, Slbert, and George Bousquet, and his son, Richard Bousquet, who was also career Navy of 22 1/2 years.

We'll miss you Uncle Chuck

Over Labor Day weekend our family drove up to Idaho Falls to visit with Terry, Brian & family. We were also excited to visit with Matt's Uncle Chuck (Bousquet). He recently had to go into a rehabilitation home because he wasn't doing well health wise.
Terry told us how much he loved Reese's peanut butter cups so we stopped off and bought him a couple of bags. When we got there he was doing his physical therapy and we told him that when he finishes we had a treat for him, his eyes got as big as silver dollars!!  He was so excited he was lifting hand weights and walking on the parale bars so good!! We were SO proud at his progress!! We had a great visit with him, we love him so much!! He is the last of the Bousquet brothers (Matt's 'real' dad is his baby brother George, he passed away awhile back). He has been a father like figure to Matt.
Our hotel room had a great view of the Idaho Falls Temple, it was so beautiful!!
We love going to visit and spending time with Terry & Brian and their family (Josh & Lanissa).
They taught us how to play pool (yes, even I played shocking huh??) The girls played while the guys worked!! haha
We had a sad phone call last Thursday when Brian told us that Uncle Chuck wasn't doing well and didn't think he'd make it though the night.
Uncle Chuck passed away the next day, his service is this Friday Oct. 8th. at the Wood's funeral home.
We will miss him dearly!!

Last Goodbye (for 23mths)

The day has arrived to say our goodbyes...
October 3rd (mom's birthday) I cooked a turkey/ham dinner for them and an eclair cake for dessert.
I told mom what a better gift to give our Heavenly Father on her birthday then the gift of missionary service.
I had everyone who could, come to our house to say their goodbyes.
Then at 5pm our family, Cindy, Kylie and Sage all headed to the airport. I was so proud of myself and held back my emotions until dad said his goodbyes to me with a few sweet words then that did it in for me!!

I told myself that they left on General Conference and they'll be back before the next 4th (fall) one is here. It seems like an easy count down for me, doesn't seem that far away. They'll make awesome missionaries!!
